The 10th Keswick Film Festival

Passes for the 10th Keswick Film Festival should be on sale from the 24th November at the pre-Christmas discounted rates of £35 (and £28 for KFC members). Tickets for students and unwaged are only £21 and this price does not go up after Christmas. Bookings can be made online at the Theatre by the Lake website, by telephone at 017687 74411 or in person.

We are putting together our usual fantastic mix of pre-release films, the best of international cinema and - this year - we are continuing our music strand that went down so well with our FebFest audience in our 'small but perfectly formed' event at the Alhambra only last year. This February we are back to the usual format of film at the Alhambra, the Studio and the Main house at the Theatre. We are hoping we may have a concert to go with the music film strand; more later about this.

And of course we have great guests. Some are yet to confirm but we will be joined by Frank Cottrell Boyce, script-writer of many great films and TV and we hope to be screening a number of his films including a free showing of 'Millions' for kids (old and young), 'Hilary and Jackie' and 'Forget About Me'. Also Sol and Roy of Hurricane Films who we met at Under the Mud have since produced the well acclaimed Terence Davies film 'Of Time and the City'. They will be introducing that and we will screen a number of Terence Davies other films.

Last year 'Grow Your Own' sold out and so Carl Hunter is coming back to show it again and do a Q&A for those who missed it.

And there's lots more that we don't want to reveal yet...... So make sure you register to be kept informed of any news.
